YiFei Xu

          Born and raised in China, Yi Fei has won numerous awards in her native China and internationally starting from a young age. Most recently she was awarded “The Best Performance” prize in the 3^rd International Deutscher Irmler Piano Competition. Other awards include 3rd prize of the “Wiesbaden” Piano Competition, 3^rd prize in the “Jin Kui Hua Cup” Piano Competition, the “Best Performance” prize in the 4^th Chinese Works Piano Competition, among many others.

          Highly sought after both as a solo pianist and as a chamber musician, Yi Fei has performed at venues such as the Beijing Concert Hall, Central Conservatory of Music, Tianjin Conservatory of Music, Peabody Conservatory and many more both to high acclaimed. She was hailed “Highly gifted” by the professors at the 2011 U.S. Music Schools Piano and Violin Festival which she participated as a highly selective group of young musicians.

          Yi Fei started her formal music education at a young age. She attended The Music Middle School Affiliated to Tianjin Conservatory of Music and was later accepted to the Music High School attached to the prestigious Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. In 2012 Yi Fei was accepted to the prestigious Manhattan School of Music where she currently attends. Highly acclaimed as a performer, Yi Fei is also a passionate and caring teacher, eager to share her extensive knowledge.
