Bogna Kicinska

           Hailed by the Jazz Forum Magazine of Poland as “A real discovery, a vocalist with a wide range of voice, singing with great feeling and improvising using scat technique without any restrain.”, Bogna is one of the most versatile performers in the Jazz scene both in New York and Poland.

           Jazz vocalist, composer, and educator born in small town Kransnytaw in Poland where she did her 2nd degree in violin, she graduated from Karol Szymanowski School of Music in Katowice (Poland), Henryk Majewski Jazz Training College in Warsaw (Poland) and Aaron Copland School of Music in New York. She was a prize-winner of numerous competitions, such as, International Festival of Traditional Jazz – Old Jazz Meeting “Gold Grater” – Ilawa (Poland), International Jazz Competition for Singing Musicians “Voicingers” in Zory (Poland), “Hope of Warsaw”. She writes her own compositions and arrangements. Bogna performed many European countries and U.S. She recently recorded her debut album which will be released soon.

Aside from maintaining a busy performance schedule, Bogna dedicates herself to educating the next generation of musicians. As an experienced educator, being well-versed in both classical and jazz repertoire, Bogna possesses a firm grasp of the necessary knowledge, both technically and mentally, to help her students excel in what they do.
